The White House visits MSA-8 Bell

We were so excited to host our special guest Executive Director Alejandra Ceja from the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics who spoke on education and leadership.

MSA-8 Bell held a special assembly unlike any other that resulted in a full house of students, families, and elected officials!

We were so excited to host our special guest Executive Director Alejandra Ceja from the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics who spoke on education and leadership.

During the assembly students received various awards for academic excellence, attendance, positive behavior, and strength of character which Alejandra Ceja participated in handing out.

As the assembly came to a close, Alejandra received the Champion for Education Award on behalf of Magnolia Public Schools as recognition for all the work she has accomplished for students nationwide. To her surprise, she would receive multiple awards which were awarded to her by representatives from the offices of LAUSD Superintendent Michelle King, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, Assemblymember Anthony Rendon, Senator Ricardo Lara, Mayor Ali Saleh, and Councilmember Nestor Valencia.

This incredible event was inspirational to say the least. We thank Alejandra Ceja for being a leader in education and for her dedication to MSA-8 Bell's community.
