Professor Levon Marashlian from Glendale Community College
Dr. Levon Marashlian was born in Beirut in 1948, raised in Chicago since 1956 and served in Vietnam as U.S. Army infantryman from 1968-1969.
Dr. Marashlian is currently a professor of History and Political Science at Glendale Community College who focuses on Armenian history and Diaspora current affairs, as well as Middle Eastern, Russian, and U.S. history & politics. He has taught at many universities including- UCLA, CSUN, LACC, and lectured extensively abroad. Dr. Marashlian’s work on the Armenian Genocide is very extensive- and ranges from many publications and books, testifying before U.S. Congress, and serving on the CA Department of Education Curriculum Advisory Committee for the development of instructional material on genocide and human rights.
