MSA-8 Bell Student Featured Speaker at LA Board of Supervisors Meeting
On Tuesday, December 13th one of our amazing students, Jatziri was a featured speaker at our Board of Supervisors meeting and she represented Magnolia well. She was interviewed by LA Times, ABC 7, and the LA County Channel.
On Tuesday, December 13th one of our amazing students, Jatziri was a featured speaker at our Board of Supervisors meeting and she represented Magnolia well. She was interviewed by LA Times, ABC 7, and the LA County Channel. She then spoke before the board in support of The Women and Girls Initiative, a motion that those with long political histories were ecstatically and passionately in favor of. Out of all of the speakers -- children, adults, and distinguished activists -- she received the loudest, most thunderous applause that included a standing ovation.
The initiative passed, and Jatziri was presented with a special certificate by Supervisor Hilda Solis.
We could not be more proud of her.
