Over 100 MPS Families Participated in LA Stands Event
Over 100 Magnolia families joined us for the first ever LA Stands event in collaboration with KIPP and Green Dot Public Schools. We were honored to have State Representative Kevin De Leon as our keynote speaker, and LAPD representatives.
Over 100 Magnolia families joined us for the first ever LA Stands event in collaboration with KIPP and Green Dot Public Schools. We were honored to have State Representative Kevin De Leon as our keynote speaker, and LAPD representatives. This event provided an opportunity for the community to come together and discuss some of the troubling times that our families are facing with immigration, safe schools, and community values. The event was hosted at the Los Angeles City College (LACC). It was a representation of what our communities and families are facing. As an organization, it is important for MPS to create a safe spaces where our families feel welcomed and invited to participate in these conversations.Thank you to everyone involved in making this event happen and for creating a safe space for our families.
