On August 3rd and 4th over 300 teachers, staff, and administrators gathered at MSA-8 Bell to usher in the new school year! On both days’ teachers had the opportunity to attend various sessions on blended learning, best practices, and more!

sessions on blended learning, best practices, and more!
This year we had the amazing privilege of having two keynote
speakers; LAUSD Board President, Dr. Ref Rodriguez as our Kickoff Keynote and
Dr. Gail Thompson, a former Professor in Education and well renowned author. Both
keynotes echoed the theme of seeing the potential in every single student and RISING
above adversity. All in attendance were inspired to continue making a difference
in the lives of many students and were ready to start the school year with a
fresh perspective.
It wouldn’t have been possible to have a successful
in-service without the hard work and dedication of our Chief Academic Officer, Ms.
Kenya Jackson and Academic Team! We also want to thank EdLogical Group, MyOn,
Preferred Meals, and Riders Express for sponsoring the event.
Now, let the countdown begin for our Fall Practitioners
Symposium scheduled for October 20, 2017!
