Magnolia Public Schools Selects Care Solace for Mental Healthcare Services

Partnership provides an added layer of support to ensure families, faculty and staff connect to mental health services.

LOS ANGELES, CA and SAN DIEGO, Calif. November 20, 2020 – Magnolia Public Schools has selected Care Solace, an organization determined to calm the chaos of mental healthcare coordination, to extend access to mental health care and resources for families and staff. Care Solace equips school districts with a web-based tool that makes it easier to connect with both community-based and virtual mental healthcare providers and programs.

“If there is one thing we have learned from the stakeholder Mental Health and Wellness surveys during distance learning is that our families, staff, and students need additional support and guidance in navigating the mental health care system and access to providers, we believe Care Solace will fill that need,” said Dr. Brenda D. Lopez, Director of Student Services at Magnolia Public Schools. “They are the glue that connects our stakeholders to mental health or substance abuse providers and are available 24/7, we appreciate the feedback from all stakeholders in informing future partnerships for the benefit of all."

Magnolia Public Schools will use Care Solace to support its mission of promoting mental health practices to our communities.

With Care Solace, families and staff gain access to a dedicated Care Concierge team, with experts available around-the-clock to guide users through processes related to insurance, provider availability, wait times and scheduling. Care Solace’s care navigation system uses proprietary technology and a vast database of behavioral and mental healthcare resources to find carefully vetted therapists and programs in minutes.

MSA-7 is a small, community school that feels like a family. Just like family, we're here for eachother during times of need and challenge,” said Meagan Wittek, Principal of Magnolia Science Academy - 7. “Care Solace is just one more way that we can be here for our community members -by connecting them with the support and resources they need to get through those challenging times.

More than 90,000 school staff and parents at partnering school communities of Care Solace used the pre-screening tool, with at least 40,000 students receiving mental healthcare support as a result. Care Solace has facilitated an estimated total of 4,500 crisis interventions.

“Creating a healthy environment for learning in the 2020-21 school year has arguably never been more challenging for staff and families,” said Chad Castruita, founder of Care Solace. “We are proud to support Magnolia Public Schools in prioritizing the wellbeing of its school community by providing timely access into mental healthcare services.”

Care Solace is now available to Magnolia Public Schools families and staff. For more information about Care Solace, please visit https://home.caresolace.com/.
