Lydiett Woods joined Magnolia Public Schools in 2009 as an office manager at Magnolia Science Academy 2. She was promoted to Executive Office Manager within the first year. In this role, she provided support to four LA County Magnolia schools. After two years in her new position, Lydiett's responsibilities expanded, being assigned accountability support of 13 Magnolia's. The academies spanned from San Diego to Santa Clara in Northern California.
Currently serving as the Director of School Office Data and Accountability, Lydiett Woods not only believes in collaboration but actively cultivates it within the organization. Her efforts create a harmonious and informed environment where all stakeholders are empowered to contribute to the success of the schools, ultimately benefiting the students and the entire educational community. Her focus includes ensuring compliance with State, District, and other agency regulations, as well as overseeing CALPADS report submissions. She enjoys her role in supporting all Magnolia school office and administrator teams. Lydiett earned her Bachelor's degree from Cal State University at Northridge. With experience as a staff manager, recruiter, and supervisor, she brought over six years of managerial expertise to Magnolia Public Schools. She has a genuine passion for supporting the success of young people and school teams, a commitment that has roots in her years of experience working with at-risk youngsters at an independent study charter school. This transformative experience influenced her transition from the business sector to the field of education. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Lydiett finds joy in serving as a volunteer mentor for college, elementary, and middle-school-aged youth. This fulfilling role, which she has been engaged in for over 24 years, reflects her deep commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of young individuals. |
